The major issues currently impacting our City are Hillmoor, short-term rentals, parking, Main Street construction in 2027 & 2028, City finances, public works and infrastructure projects, housing and land use, and public safety.

The City Council and staff, working closely with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Main Street businesses, and residents, need to actively develop strategies to minimize disruption during the project. A project team, comprising representatives from all affected groups, needs to meet regularly to coordinate plans and actions. Key efforts should include rerouting traffic, providing clear signage, and communicating updates to residents and visitors throughout every phase. Loss of city and private sector revenue needs to be addressed as well. By working together, we can turn a challenging situation into a positive outcome. Once completed, our Main Street will serve the community effectively for decades to come.

Throughout my 40-year business career—and earlier as a high school teacher and coach—I have deeply valued developing strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. As a business executive, I excelled in leading strategy, governance, planning, financial management, government affairs, marketing, operations, and business development. I directed governmental advocacy programs at both state and federal levels, successfully turned around underperforming organizations, and identified and cultivated new revenue streams. I have managed budgets as large as $27 million. This track record and breadth of real-world experience equip me with a unique skill set to contribute effectively to the Lake Geneva City Council.
